Hey everyone! I hope you're not too wiped out from Anime Boston for another April meetup, because later this month is Boston's FIRST annual Japanese spring festival! Instead of "Sakura Matsuri," or cherry blossom festival, they are calling this the Haru Matsuri, or spring festival, because this year for the first time ever Japan is making a gift of hundreds of cherry blossom trees to the city of Boston. They are being planted in parks all over the area between March and May, but they're not very, uh, flowery yet. Next year there will be cherry blossoms, LOL! xD
You and everyone you know are cordially invited toHaru Matsuri 2012
at the historic Copley Square Park
on Sunday, April 29th
from 11 am to 4 pm
Meet at Copley T stop at 11 :D
Feel free to come when you want, for however long you want, because it's just a fair. There's no reservations, schedules, etc. Although if you want to let me know you're coming, that would be neat, so I can look for you and make sure you don't wander around alone for hours, lol.
Bring cash! There are traditional Japanese food booths, games, etc. that will likely be cash-only.
I hope to see lots of you there!
